methinks that tomorrow circular measure ta for math will be a tragedy.

according to ms johnson, (who has taught us extremely well in case she chances upon this remote blog), a tragedy is one which still ends with hope at the end. haha yes after that tragic and painful process of doing my ta, ill end the ta with some hope that i might be able to pass.

what a tragedy. hahahah

but after i get back my test script, it turns into a comedy. because everyone will start laughing at my marks. and usually comedies end on a less positive note. which will be like this one.

haha anyway this is my 200th post! looks like this blog has been relatively active for the past year or so hahaha its my confidant, my lifeless rant machine, and my drafts contain all my hatred for certain people. haha people should see my drafts someday. LOL

yay after sleeping last night i woke up still feeling very high. this is one of the greatest feelings man, getting that one up over malaysia. haha i respect the singapore players man, they really embody the fighting spirit that helped us to victory yesterday. haha

my day started off with bayley meeting (AGAIN!) and its becoming a permanent fixture in my saturdays. haha so me tom jerome and will met up again to discuss house day. will very nice came down even though he not house exco member. SO NOW I WONDER, WHERE IS (our last exco member)

anyway we discussed from 12+ to around 4+ then i brought jerome home and we rested awhile before going brandon's house and then on to gareth's house (wow alot of houses here) and then gareth's parents drove us off to kallang mrt. haha we met damien, keeyao, dillon, skoh and ding there before we walked to the nearby hawker centre (my recommendation! haha i used to live in geylang a long long time ago) and then we walked to national stadium.

dillon and damien waited outside for mikey and edwin whlie the rest of us went to chope seats for everyone. haha we were sitting under the unlighted scoreboard, which was behind singapore's goal for the first half.

haha the first half came and went very fast with lots of action but none of the keepers being tested properly. haha second half came and lionel lewis fumbled the shot into goal and malaysia scored :( singapore 0-1 malaysia. but we continued to roar them on!

and we scored the equaliser right in front of us! yay oops im high again! haha i really respect all the singapore players for fighting so hard. and 3 of our best players, the players who fought the hardest, played the hardest, werent actually born in singapore. shi jiayi, precious, and daniel bennett were all born overseas but were given citizenship to play for us and they showed exactly why yesterday. haha they displayed enourmous fighting spirit and grit especially daniel bennett who chased down every single ball and played his heart out for us. a true singaporean i must say

i was very proud to be a singaporean yesterday. when we scored the goal, all of us jumped up together and hugged one another in elation and the feeling was true, it was just happiness that had to be expressed. haha along with the shouting of malay swear words (i didnt know until very much later when i asked them!) hahahaha whoops i didnt mean it okay

and yes...
yesterday i felt proud singing the national anthem.

i have been tahan-ing a cold for the past week and i think today ill catch another cold. lol today's training started off quite sunny, and the water was really really cold. then it started raining at around 430pm when the swimmers had to use the pool and so we got out the pool and almost froze to death. im gonna catch another cold la walao its gonna be the third time im sick this year lor!

i guess today training was not bad la, one of the best ive had in some time because i had alot of house stuff to settle so couldnt train properly for some time. haha the jc guys came down to play with us again, and when i say play, i mean play.

but anyway today my form was quite okay i guess its getting better i saved sengkong's one on one! haha yay such brilliance for me! needless to say, i have never won a prize for modesty before... haha

tomorrow is singapore vs malaysia second leg i really hope singapore will win! MAJULAH SINGAPURA! onward singapore and crush those malaysia cockroaches under our mighty feet!

im going to watch tomorrow. anyone up for a date? hahaha :D

okay i really wanted to blog about this last night but i guess i was too tired.

haha anyway yesterday we had bayley meeting at 930am in rj but i couldnt get out of the house because my mom was out, maid was out with mom, only me and my brother at home so i couldnt leave him at home. so i reached rj bus stop at around close to 1130am and walked to the gate.

AND REALISED IT WAS LOCKED.

haha so me being the very practical and a very proactive person, i decided to climb the gate! hahaha actually its not too difficult to climb the gate la because can hold onto the fence, climb onto the handrail, stand on the fence and leap over. haha so thats how i got into rj... before tom told me that there was a camera monitoring the gate. whoops! hahaha die la

so i met them at rj canteen at 1130am and we talked abit about the designs and stuff before isaac came and being the ever helpful artistic guy that he is, helped us draw out our design for our flags. at around 1230am we left to find a cab to get to mediacorp studios to watch our school debate against hwachong in the arena debates.

we reached arena at about 1 and went into the studio while they were briefing the audience. sat there awhile and did alot of clap rehearsals which was damn boring while we eagerly anticipated the match. haha

it started off quite badly for us. lionel lost 0-20 to the first speaker of chinese high. i think the chinese high speaker david koh got style but no substance one la haha his content is like zilch and lionel must have gotten some retribution for booking me last week so he lost his very embarrassingly.

then the next speaker was shiyang. i think that he totally owned the chinese high speaker but in the end only 2 of the judges concurred with me and he drew 12-12 with the chinese high guy. haha the first two judges giving decisions against shiyang.

so we were down 20 points. but all was not lost. we being raffles, the hope for a better age, the sons of tomorrow, blahblahblah, did not give up. even among the supporters, you could not sense the slightest bit of despair. because we are raffles. haha

so team rebuttals were next and we eventually emerged victorious 21-7 in this category with kartik having the best moment of it with a fantastic analogy to top it all off.

then it was kartik against their 3rd speaker. haha kartik was brilliant! in his speech he was clear, to the point, and delivered it with a great deal of style, and hit straight and true in his rebuttals. damn good! haha we won that one 21-7 too to claim a memorable victory over hwachong!

haha we didnt send our debaters lor! if we sent our debaters hwachong would've been done and dusted. haha we sent our non debaters and we still thrashed hwachong's debaters (yes, i asked my friends after the match and they said that they were debaters) hahaha what noobs. lol

i remember before the match they wanted to take opinion from a certain member of the audience from each school and people started chanting my name and i had a damn good one liner which i forgotten already that i wanted to suan hwachong but in the end they asked anish to say and he gave one non controversial one. cheh wasted

haha after that we went to eat and went library to discuss our bayley house meeting and house day programme before going home at 10pm. haha huge day la yesterday...



and today was no different. i woke up at 9 and originally arranged to meet tom at 1015 at macritchie bus stop to go will's house. but he got locked in at home and could only meet me at 1115 then we went to will's house nearby the coffeeshop to have lunch with jerome and we 3 went up to will's house to discuss further about house meeting and house day.

at around 4pm we started painting our flags and after some time at around 6 paul and isaac came to help us with drawing and painting. haha and paul is now quite scared of mr yap cos he asked where was paul yesterday to support the arena debates team and seemed quite scary. hahaha

we painted until about 7+ i think then we went in for dinner and started brainstorming for cheers. haha me andt om eventually brainstormed a few cheers for our new year while will jerome paul and isaac continued work outside. haha in the end today turned out damn fruitful la i think but i still gotta work on some stuff lor. haha sian

okay tomrorow got chem OBA i gotta get my stuf ready (no time to mug mind you) haha may oba(femi martins) help me!

okay full force for polo! i really want to win la. cannot relac one corner already la hahahaha omg "relac one corner sia" is a damn fun slang to use hahahaha frequented by you know which racial group. haha damn fun damn fun. LOL okay its getting late and im getting random

haha i havent posted for a week now and today is the first time this week im free to post la haha after today's test and my failed attempt at studying for it...

tomorrow theres training and im looking forward to it! i look forward to all the trainings now because its my chance to improve, our chance to improve as a team. haha gotta get our form back and bring our title bid back on track. its now or never for us as the ri waterpolo team. our last shot at glory for ri. this is like a second chance for me after i played last year because hanson was injured and we lost to barker in the first match and i cried my guts out so im determined not to let it happen again this year. i really really really want the gold. anything for the gold. anything for the team. anything for the school.

our team is just fantastic. we've been training together for the past few years and we know each other inside out. we must train together, we must fight together, we must win together. we are raffles waterpolo together. and im determined not to let any one of you down. i am proud to have all of you as my teammates for this final rush for gold as we swim our hearts out, and jump till our trunks fall off.

guys. its 2 more months to the the final rush for us fighting in the name of ri. its now or never, the final stretch. im really determined to do this and i trust that every single member of our team is as ready and determined as i am. let it come, let us soar.

haha i think im gonna fall sick tooooo... today (and yesterday) were crazy days in terms of amount of rainfall la lol

today i got slammed in the ear by a polo ball after attempting to save a shot (and succeeding, of course) hahaha and after that i had this piercing sound in my ear haha quite freaky la lol thats the drawback of playing sports la haha got all sorts of funny ailments happening to you haha but thats a small price to pay for all the benefits of sports. lol

and maybe im slowly getting my touch back in polo la after an absence of two weeks and a gain in weight hahahha must be those roasted pekking ducks la ahaha

haha and im very happy cos this year our polo sec 1 trials has been a great success and there has been a huge turnout so im very happy! haha cos yesterday and today i went around telling the sec 1 classes the date of our trials and just trying to convince them one last time to come for the trials. haha not bad la must thank tom and woosheng for coming with me yesterday to talk to the sec 1 classes lol

hah my arms and chest and stomach area still hurt cos it was still hurting when we had to do pt during training today so now pain is compounded by exercise on those muscles = more pain! haha the agony... lol

haha and i like my msn nick now! "what do i think of arena? well... the fact that i wear it on my ass tells the whole story" hahahaha arena is unrealistic and not true to the real kind of debates and is basically just fake and biased. so i like my trunks better thank you very much. my limegreen, purple, white, black, grey and orange arenas...

and i hope one of my best friends gets well soon! got sick today with some viral fever... then i was damn worried cos like you know it can be deadly, as we ought to know now after what happened last year and i was just hoping and hoping and hoping that nothing would happen and walao damn worried la during polo also cannot concentrate properly. i hope nothing happens to you la okay! bless you (: plsplsplsplspls get well soon! it cant happen all over again. pls dont

anyway haha today was JRIC or junior rafflesians' investiture ceremony. so the sec 1s are now officially rafflesians! welcome to our rafflesian family! haha i would have so loved to be singing our batch song with the sec 1s but then. hah im not a psl

ohh and mr kwan today came and find me and said that the pen for the tablet pc that we loaned from pe department was lost. when we returned it was still there lor i returned to mr chng... but aiyah nevermind la not nice to put it that way too anyway i think the polo team will be paying la. if not then i pay la never mind. haha eat less will do me good

talking about eating less... haha today i realised that i gained alot of weight during the holidays. haha muscle gain always coincides with gain of weight right! lets hope that its that la hor hahaha if not ill go home and cry if i gained alot more fat again hahahaha i want to be lighter! then i can jump higher in the water lol

haha tomorrow after i going with polo guys to bishan gym for our first polo gym training of the year then afterwards im going with jerome and tiankai to go and buy our banner materials for bayley. haha work is gonna start! t&f is gonna start and it will coincide with my preparations with polo season. haha gotta prioritise! haha and i know which one will be my priority but i wont share it here hahaha

ooh and yesterday training i liked it alot! hahaha mainly cos i saved alot of penalties and i faked brandon then i pushed his penalty against the crossbar hahahaha yes! i finally succeeded with that fake! hahahahaha better times await...

okay im going crazy already im damn tired. haha sleep sleep sleep sleep and you know i prepared chinese by monday before i realised that our teacher so nice extend to wednesday. haha so last night i edited my book report and printed it before i realised that she extended it to friday again! hahaha so now i reprinted my book report because the rubrics wanted 1.5 spacing hahaha SOMEONE SAVE THE TREES! lol we got green earth club chairman in our class but he doesnt do anything to save the trees. tsk tsk

haha and about that loss to loyang yesterday. i got no comments la later someone brand me elitist or something. haha lets just say that i think waffles wu's dad must have named him with raffles institution in mind and he must've hated his name so... yeah la i wont elaborate about his decisions yesterday la hor. haha

and today training was quite fun la only a few sec 4s turned up (omg, im sec 4 liao! hahahha) because they had JRIC (damn, im jealous) so we had to train by ourselves and they ended up doing shooting. haha then ben ooi's sister came and joined us and she seemed to know all our names while i still dont know hers. haha i call her "ben ooi's sister" hahaha must be ben ooi say all the bad stuff about us at home la LOL she look at me and asked me whether i was seetow hahaha like siao!

haha oh and another freaky thing. we got new year head cos ms jacq sim go be some character and leadership head (aww, i was starting to warm up to her weird ways) haha he some pe teacher and today i greeted him when i saw him then he was like "hi, seetow" hahahaha and i got super freaked out! haha i thought i was like such a naughty boy that he knew my name already within 1 week of starting work at ri LOL but in the end i realised that he was swimming teacher in charge too and we shared classroom with swimming for raffles trail and i think the teachers were talking about me that day cos i bullshit parents damn well okay! hahaha so maybe thats how he got to know me. at least its better than thinking that he knew me because i was too infamous hahaha how can that be! im a good boy

haha and i need to hand in 3 pieces of zhouji by friday. of which i havent started any and the teacher says need to have 700 words. haha SIAO

haha and it really is paying off. im feeling so proud after finishing my chinese book report that should've been done during the holidays but i worked my ass off from 4 o'clock in afternoon till now doing this. haha though i slacked quite alot talking to friends on msn hahahaha but hey im allowed that little concession am i not? haha

marcus, kaiyu, weishen, jianying, ben ooi, nigel, joel, yinrong, yuda, jon lim. you guys were magnificent! thank you all for your fantastic effort. you all made our raffles trail a success. truly. you made me the i/c proud of you all. today was a great day for raffles waterpolo. im truly proud to be proud of this group of guys. the spirit is awesome.

they all stayed longer than their designated shift times and worked very hard so that almost every single parent was able to come into the classroom and listen to us introduce waterpolo as a cca. and they all conformed around the guidelines that i printed for them on what to say to the parents. im so proud of them all!

at the start, i actually didnt want so many people around to talk to the parents, i actually wanted a more serious environment and i didnt want to usual jokers like marcus to talk to the parents. but boy he was fantastic! after listening to me talking to the parents a few times he took the initiative and started standing along the corridor to get parents to come into our booth and gave them a talk about waterpolo (that sounded hugely like mine, but i wont complain). im so proud of you marcus.

our day basically started with meeting at the poolside at 9am to collect the stuffs from mr lim. posters, photos, trophies, vcd, etc. then we brought all these to class and started setting up. after partially setting it up, i hounded yanliang for the laptop and the noticeboard. he said it was with mr kwan who didnt come until relatively later. so we just slacked around wtih our almost complete booth and eventually started playing soccer with an old polo ball lol.

after getting our laptop and noticeboard, we put the cd inside the laptop and started watching our old videos of us in malacca. haha and saw my great saves too! hahahaha it was very fun and eventually we got a brainwave, which was to try and connect the laptop to the classroom system and play it through the projector. but we didnt have the key. so i lugged the laptop to j8 to have lunch.

we had lunch at subway and it was my first time in a long time eating at subway (explains my size la. got all the fast foods and i dont eat the healthiest) hahaha then after lunch and burning a hole in my pocket, yet still feeling hungry after subway, we headed back for school.

zhang laoshi lent me her key to open the lock to connect our laptop to the class system but the key wouldnt work. probably it was a wrong key la. haha so we just used the visualiser and shined it on our laptop screen and it was almost as good as it being connected to the projector. haha ingenious ri boys! haha

after that the sec 1s came and we started introducing our cca. we were sharing a classroom with swimming and those swimming boys were damn nasty. they told the first class who came not to join waterpolo and to join swimming. wah that time i got verily pissed and i went to talk to the sec 4 at the booth. he said okay they wont badmouth us but the next class who came they toned down abit, but still had. i was fuming by then so i called yanliang the overall i/c of raffles trail and he put a stop to all that nonsense. i tell you if he didnt i would've gone to put a stop to it. and supported by the rest of the poloers. maybe it would've escalated into a full scale riot between polo and swimming but we dont care. we must protect our own interests.

anyway i think yanliang went to tell a teacher too so they got abit screwed also so serves them right la. wasnt the sec 4s fault i think it was the sec 2s and 3s fault. they got some inferiority complex i think or feel that our display was nicer than theirs and started saying bad stuff about them. then the sec 2 and 3 poloers wanted to go fight with them over that but i told them that i would settle it lol. hahahaha i guess being sec 2 and 3 swimmers they just arent mature enough yet la. haha i can say that now im the oldest batch in the school!

haha i did most of the talking for the sec 1s and introduced them to the cca blahblah bullshit here and there blah blah haha and marcus had a try too. he sounded too unnatural but hey doesnt hurt la. haha he should be in charge next year hes enthu and hes a great bullshitter like me hahahah

then after that we started getting all the parents. any parents that walked past was directed into our booth. haha i put nigel outside to direct them in while me and marcus stood inside. i think our business today was great because of this strategical maneouvre lol so not bad la, at least the parents are well informed of our cca. whether or not that translates into good numbers for the trials is another thing.

we werent able to reach all the sec 1s. there was a huge delay so not all the sec 1 classes came to our booth. im looking into the possibility of making an announcement on monday or mobilising our whole polo team to relay the information to the sec 1 classes during interaction time on monday the time and day of our polo trials, so that we wont miss out on any potential polo players. i was put in charge for this and i want to make it good.

anyway, im really really extremely proud of the guys and i think they have put in very hard work for me at short notice. their spirit was very willing too and i see a new champion batch in the making. they are willing to do this for me and work so hard for me, i dont see any problems we will have with this team.

haha the last post got cut off halfway cos my mom woke up so i quickly offed the com and ran into my room and acted as if i had been sleeping for some time. hahahah

anyway today was first day of school! and im so jealous! psls all get to interact with their sec 1 classes and non psls had to have lessons lor! no fair no fair i want to be psl! stupid fong. dont let me be psl.

haha and we found out that ms johnson is gonna teach us both english and lit for us this year. ahaha i knew long time ago la cos mrs dcruz told me that she wanted to take our class cos we have 3 polo boys inside but ms johnson already wanted our class. hah i shall keep my sentiments to myself about this la in case any of the two abovementioned teachers read my blog ahaha

and tomorrow ill have to reach school at 7am! that means i cant wake up at 650 like i do everyday lor hahahah cos ill have to raise the bayley flag. cos tom not available he psl so i have to take his position and raise lor. haha byebye to my precious sleep! nvm ill pig out and make up for my sleep in class lol

today i set my alarm for 545 and i eventually woke up at 645 lol cos my mom didnt have a car the car just got scrapped for a new car la haha so i was supposed to take bus to school myself. haha in the end i rushed out and caught a cab and chionged all the way in to the new parade square hahahaha lucky me

haha and today after lessons i went for training despite being sick la haha a show of commitment! hahaha tom say i exco what so i have to set a good example and train hard la so i had fever and a very bad sore throat but i still went in to train la haha and now im dying and i think my throat got burnt by the chlorine or something now its chao ji pain! haha see la! all for the sake of RAFFLES WATERPOLO. what a great and self sacrificial senior i am. haha okay enough kidding myself la hahaha

jianying and i are in charge of raffles trail booth on saturday, the time when we sell our ccas to sec 1s. haha i hope it goes fine because frankly last year the raffles trail didnt attract enough sec 1s so now we have less than 15 sec 2s not enough to form a c div team la haha so theyll go in severely handicapped. haha anyway the planning is going fine we have a vision already! haha the jianying-seetow partnership is a very tried and tested one. we are both in waterpolo and sailing, so more or less we know each other well. hah so lets hope we work together successfully! haha

today is the first day of the new year and guess what? im sick!

i guess the fever my brother/mother got must have passed on to me while i was taking care of them la haha ohwells now its their turn to take care of me! lol and ive started on my commonwealth essay, though not much la, started the third paragraph hahahah i have like no inspiration to write la i just have a stupid headache muffling all my thoughts hah but i have to complete the essay by tomorrow!

haha and now im having some group convo with lijie and edwin halfway during which lijie invited some girl whom he says is some new girl from tuition. hah he moves really fast man! hahahahaha so funny... respect respect. haha and they said theres another new hwa chong guy in class too. so ill have to give more dolls to them! lucky i bought extras. but i hope the extras are enough hahahah

i bought alot of russian dolls cos they look quite cute and um can bluff people that i've been to russia when i havent hahaha instead i bought it in harbin one of the russian shops because harbin is like the border between russia and china already lol so thats kinda nice.
