today

my last year class 2L met up again, though not under the most favourable of conditions. met up at 4pm at novena mrt to go kk hospital and visit yinkwan.

but first, i met tom and will at orchard road to get something for yinkwan first. haha we wondered around like lost sheep not knowing where to go before will led us to kinokuniya. then me and tom just walked around aimlessly while will started browsing immediately, like he goes there all the time. hahahaha

finally we went taka and got a soft toy doggy after finding the childrens' department and the soft toy section (after several failed attempts to do so) ahah. then met up with the rest of the class at novena at 4pm. we started waiting at the taxi stand for the shuttle bus to kk before we realised that we were all extremely smart... cos the shuttle bus service only operated from mondays to fridays!

so we took bus to kk and went to visit yinkwan. haha and we went as like one big group like more than 10 people and went up to yinkwan's ward. i dont think we were supposed to have so many people up there since that wasnt the visiting hours, but nobody cared anyway. haha

then we stayed there for about 1.5 hours and just cracked jokes and made him happy. hahaha he told us he was still in shock after talking to mr david court (our very loved biology teacher) for a long time so he was stil kinda traumatised about how he was told about david court's long long life story and how he was when he got hospitalised blahblah haha but aiyah nothing to worry about la hes fine la just some food poisoning and thats all la

haha after that we went united square (a place i dont know very well la hor) and ate dinner there then we all went home. and hahahaha they were asking me how to go to the mrt underpass then i told them the correct way and gave them a smile then they dont dare believe me! hahaaha i reverse psychology them hahahaha WORKS EVERY TIME

haha i think today was a really great display of the class spirit that we have fostered between us since our first days in raffles because when one of us goes down, the rest will go and support him. i duno im just feeling really high about my last year class and our close bonding. haha wouldnt trade it for anything in the world. alright, almost anything. haha

and today my day was more or less just sleepwalking

slept at 130am last night preparing for debates and woah damn tired now hahahaa at its 12am now. and best thing is that i stayed up to prepare for a debate that wasnt today! haha tom didnt come school today so we couldnt have our debate. but anyway had good chats with people online la haha so not wasted!

haha today was a short day la (as all fridays are) so not as tiring as other days la. after school i had polo training and again polo training makes my day. its the time when im surrounded by all my "brudders" hahahah and we all just have loads of fun! haha and i really want to be in polo exco cos that'll be really nice... even though i only joined at the start of sec 2. haha

and i guess tomorrow we'll be visiting yinkwan at kk as our last year class, so i hope he does get well soon! heard he got severe gastric but i hope nothing much la and he'll be okay la haha HOPEFULLY

and yeah im feeling better already la after last night i felt damn lousy haha sleeping on it really does help people forget about unhappy stuff... haha i guess life does have its trips and falls, but everyone has to help one another along the way and get through all these.

ahh but tomorrow there is debates and theres no one to help me through it! we have debates part of some stupid english curriculum that is gonna fail me especially with my teacher now... from an A student i have dropped to a C+ student or so just because of the teacher.

anyway, someone told me how to solve mental block already! haha okay im gonna use that next time! (though i hope there wont be a next time leh)

haha and i just ate dinner... hah i so poor thing right eat dinner so late! and im not considered very small sized either! hahahaha okay nvm random

anyway, tomorrow there's training! i love training, cos it brings me away from all the troubles and worries. just do my best and (ill be really pro!) enjoy myself. hahahaha plus we have a really bonded team this year, and an awesome keeper (that's me la) haha and a coach whos trying to teach us dirty underwater tricks now lol

i think im gonna fail math i blanked out again in the middle of the test and i just like mind block shit how to do then at the end i just figured out everything but no time already! thats why my last question i surely get correct cos i just realised like wow so easy... but DAMN its only 2 marks. out of 27! and the rest i just rushed through a little by little and OH MAN this sucks!

and after that i punched the wall during lunch cos i was really pissed then ouch now got bruise. man what kind of rotten day is this! and polo was satisfying la could just turn all this frustration into extra strength and just jump higher and further. but i think i sprained my neck or something now really really pain.

another piece of good news for me!

chem titration test (yes the one i got L6 12/12 = 100% for) makes up 25% of my ca! hahahaha =P lol fixing results for titration really does pay off even if someone like myself doesnt possess the elegant skills of titration. lol

and tomorrow is physics quiz and math cct! howhowhow im drowning! all my waterpolo trainings cant save me from the inevitable fact that im gonna drown in both math and physics... stupid why did they have to hold it on the same day! aiyooo die already

haha im super super worried now today i went for the math "voluntary extra lesson" on log and i realised that hey there are many many questions i duno how to do so my aim to get more than 70% for this cct has been revised to passing hahahahaha (i was kidding about the 70% part)

today we just had alot of crappy periods like lit, which was spent on peer-teaching again, since like mid last term, and chinese, which was spent irritating fong. lol. hope tomorrow i will be feeeling happy rather than sad.. especially since my mom will kill me if my math doesnt improve! haha she's now going "your mother is a math teacher leh but you almost fail (alright, i failed the ct) math!" haha im gonna die at the end of the year

so being so high and happy i went for training. and woah feeling damn good man played quite well again today... hah they always say that you have to psyche yourself up and be really really angry to play well, but hey i play well all the same when im happy hahahaha okay maybe im weird. lol

heh but im a downright asshole during matches against other schools... haha i remember at u18 cos i was pissed with the hwachong idiot who elbowed yinrong's nose that i was being really assholic and like when the ball was behind me and hwachong's corner (yes, it was after i saved one on one muahahahaha) i just looked around and acted as if i didnt see the ball until ref told me to pass the ball to them then i pass and plop landed 1 metre away from me when the guy was about 10 metres away. LOL even the ref started laughing at me hahahaha

and tomorrow waterpolo training cancelled cos wednesday is math cct and physics quiz so everyone mugging at home dont want go training lol i think i should mug too hahahah if not i lose out! aiyooo lol work hard work hard mug hard! cannot go online anymore

ahh today we went to thomson area to do our chinese project

did on food, a topic that i very much love... hahahaha

met up at j8 first, with peng, tzern and merrill. then we walked around j8 before going to best denki cos merrill wanted to get his ipod video. but the best denki guy said they only had black ipod videos at the moment and so merrill didnt buy cos he said he was racist... hahahaha

then we took bus 52 to opposite thomson plaza there and walked to the famous roti prata shop and sat down. then peng took out his videocam and started to on it. then it flickered on, before flickering off again. he said "aiyah no battery". then merrill and tzern started screaming at him lol. then he said "not my fault! i charged! for 15 minutes before i came out!" hahahaha then that was when both of them started getting really pissed at him LOL

and i had to act peacemaker, and tell everyone to cool down. as you should know, when i start playing the role of a peacemaker, the situation will be pretty desperate, because i dont usually play the role of a peacemaker. lol hahahaha and tzern very pissed now cos he waited for us at j8 for 2 and a half hours cos he went there straight after church lol

anyway we used merrill's 2.0 megapixel camera in his nokia n70 phone (hahahaha i sound like im running an advertisement here) and took a video of the indian guy cooking the prata. then we bought an egg prata and did a short talk about the prata while merrill used his phone to record and then we ate the egg prata. and i paid for it! im such a nice person can. lol

oh and i saw a friend at the prata shop there too. haha didnt know it was so famous leh... like woah can coincidentally meet friends there also hahahaha

anyway, we crossed the road after that to the kampong chicken rice store opposite. and of course, being law abiding citizens, we walked to the overhead bridge 200m away (AS IF!). haha then tzern ordered chicken rice and i did a short talk and introduction to the chicken rice while merrill recorded again and after that tzern ate his lunch, which was the chicken rice we ordered.

haha and after that tzern, merrill and peng went home in a taxi. hahahaha merrill and tzern were still kinda pissed with peng for not charging his videocam and started threatening not to share taxi with him lol and i crossed the road (the overhead bridge?) and went to takeaway another egg prata home and took a bus home. lol hahahaha fun day... or thats only because i didnt get pissed with peng lol.

oh and i think prata is really really nice! haha i remember last time i hated prata cos my dad always made me eat it with curry... cos i hate curry with all its spices. now haha i eat prata with tons and tons of sugar and wow it is heavenly food!

ha so anyway, i think i didnt put on much weight today, contrary to expectations. wanted to eat much more but aiya merrill's phone battery ran out.

just returned from my mom's nus 20th anniversary gathering

shes from some batch of '86 chem class... oh no that means shes old

oh and i had to babysit my brother today! haha the first time i ever fed him dinner... and i succeeded! woohoo! haha maybe cos i bribed him with alot of drinks and promises of sweets when we got home haha but as usual, he forgot about it. lol

and i watched the movie GOAL! there! haha its my all-time favourite movie, cos i can see how newcastle united actually win alot of games and how a new hero of newcastle emerges. if only that would happen in real life... with the retirement of the namesake of this blog, newcastle now damn lousy leh. how?





anyway today my day was pretty much spent stoning at home, reading soccer news and watching movie on youtube. oh and reading up math. but that took up 15 minutes... which meant another of my plan didnt come into effect cos i planned to study for an hour today... as they say, if you fail to plan you plan to fail. but i planned! but just not enough discipline to see it through la hor haha so also fail lor. nvm i go ask teo (our math teacher) for extra remedial lessons! dont care la just pon training next week... studies more important!

then after that went online and started talking to people online. oh and we finally fixed a time and place for tomorrow so we can go work on our chinese website for our chinese project. big project la so i got a certain big teammate too, with an abnormally big head which is made in china. okay nvm hahahaha we got cheenaman for chinese project! sure get high marks already lol we going to do on food (yumyum, my favourite) in singapore and how it reflects on our culture! haha great, another project which requires alot of bullshitting, my specialty.

so tomorrow will be a day spent filming food and eating food, and pray i wont get fat. haha oh wait. i should change the sentence. pray i wont get fatter! hahahaha

today was the first time i trained in 4 days.

and i couldnt enjoy it! wahh really really unlucky man. during the drills we were challenging one another to see who can jump from the centre to beyond the edge of the post, and kaiyu tried, then couldnt make it. then i try and i jump then stretch full length and my hand went beyond the post. i was like oh yay i made it! then oh man im cramping aahahahaha my legs havent cramped since like start of the year and so when it finally cramped it was really OUCH.

so i was handicapped for the whole training after that! because i just couldnt stretch my calf muscle fully if not it would hurt real bad. id rather have like a few cramps every month just so that when i eventually cramp after like half a year it wont hurt as bad as this! haha anyway something good came out of it lor, cos i didnt have to do 100 pushups after training. lol but still had to do 100 situps... haha oh no i very slacker

haha and today our periods were really slack, which is a good thing!

and today i had tuition too which just ended la.

i think thats all about my day... how boring!

started off the morning with maths, which was definitely a good time to catch up on sleep after sleeping at 230am this morning. lol mr teo very nice dont care at all hahahaha but then again, my maths sure fail. lol must work hard!

ahaha then after math was our lit presentation! i felt that our presentation was okay la our powerpoint (yes who did it? who did it?) was quite okay la for a chionged piece of work and we had a healthy discussion with the class. after our powerpoint was class discussion. and we forgot to prepare for that... haha so impromptu-ed and of course, had the help of SPARKNOTES! yes i have to say it again! the world should be thankful to have the existence of sparknotes! haha

and then was bio. sleep sleep sleep.

recess! after that was DIE period. chinese cct! hahahaha not that can study la so i think ill do better than usual for this cct cos all the studying parts (which i usually do very badly in) all not inside. haha aiyah it was okay la dont want talk about it already

and last period was CLE in class before we went off. they again talked about zhihao's passing. why do they keep have to bring it up? everyone's trying to get over it, trying to get their lives back on track. yet they keep trying to remind us of it, dont they know we dont want to be reminded?

and i heard that an rj guy committed suicide yesterday or something. its really sad and frightening. rafflesians are just dying around me and like even though i didnt know that guy, its like so sad too. and why didnt he treasure his life? people fight so hard just to stay alive, while he take his own life, which after all, is not his own right to take? sometimes i dont understand.

i hope that people will treasure their lives more and strive to live better lives, not to end it so prematurely. appreciate others, appreciate yourselves. appreciate life.

today was really boring la just go to school and stare at the teacher whole day and nod head all the time but never really did understand or absorb any knowledge... too tired and drained already. and its just the 3rd day of school! this is crazy. but at least we had pe today la so it was quite refreshing to have a break in between classes

anyway, today was really boring. i was really sick la, as in really really la, if you catch my drift. then just nice right coincidentally today was me and edmund's lit peer-teaching presentation, but i wasnt around, (sick remember?) so we couldnt present. this gives us a little time to "touch up" our presentation la and make it even better right... its all for the sake of our classmates, to educate them more on the book and its themes.

haha okay i woke up at 11am and reached school at 1230pm, and the first thing i did at school was to go for dental checkup. how fun hahahaha anyway they arent the typical dentist that strikes terror into everyone's hearts.. these dentists are the crappy dentists who poke here poke there and say "hmm.. your teeth quite good. but you should brush the insides more" or some crap like that just to waste your time. but hey, not that im complaining!

haha then after dental checkup had chinese lesson for about 20 minutes before lunch. after lunch we had to meet at 2 to go for the RAFFLES AMBASSADOR SERIES, (wow!) the second in a series of talks given by ambassadors from different countries on bilateral ties and stuff like that.

i recall bullshitting alot about raffles ambassador series to parents during ri ge open house and ri open house, stuff that i dont believe myself. stuff like "enriching series of talks aimed at infusing critical thinking skills in your child and assisting them in planning for their future, to be global citizens of the next generation." or something like that la. hahahaha something i dont believe myself. but nvm

anyway the chinese ambassador was really funny! haha hes quite a joker... kept saying funny (abit lame, but hey, its a joke!) stuff to us and quite fun la, even though hes a boring speaker. and his english has the normal prc accent la, so everyone around us (i didnt say me k) was laughing at his accent. hahahaha then people like daniel lee asked some sensitive questions about piracy and stuff like that, and he looked a little less happy than before, but hey, do we care? but must say la, that ambassador seemed nice guy after all.


and yesterday, because of the msn thing, i didnt blog about my day.

stupid msn, screw up on everyone. then i was passing the code...

anyway yesterday was a boring day. the only fun thing throughout the whole day was polo in the afternoon la, when we had shooting practice. before shooting the keepers (meaning me, brian he-man and kaiyu) had to swim 200m fly, 200m free, tread water 200m, and 200m breast, all done at the same time. kinda tough, but we polo! can tahan la haha and during shooting i was quite okay la could save several close range shots...

okay thats about it for the day lol. first day of school was really really boring! got nagged by fong... duno why she likes nagging me leh my behaviour improve like mad from start of the year leh! some more i dont say vulgarities.. not like some people in class who blatantly shout at her lor! why me lor! aiya but shes quite nice la so nvm... cos she gives me like alot of extensions

haha and the much awaited video of my teacher! he really is the number 1 teacher, no sarcasm there. my favourite teacher! talk alot of rubbish in class yet teach super well. maybe with our "unique" teacher in the first half of the year, we deserved someone really good in the second half. so hey! heres him.

tomorrow will be the 5th year after 911

and im starting to realise how precious life really is. shows me how tragic 911 really was, when i didnt really understand it last time. i guess ill have to appreciate all those around me, and to treasure them fully.

today i was talking to mom when she told me about how i almost died when i was young... twice. the first time was when i was really really young like not even a year old when i fell and got a hairline fracture on my head before they rushed me to hospital.

the second one was something i still remember quite vividly. it was when i was 4 or so, when i had appendicitis. it was just like a searing pain in my stomach when my parents rushed me to hospital. they admitted me into the emergency ward and found out that i had acute appendicitis and some of the bacteria in the appendix had already affected some of the nearby internal organs. they were saying that if i had just eaten 1 more meal i would've died... even after the operation my stomach was bloated for several weeks (yes, even more bloated than it is now) and really i was like on death's doorstep...

the world was so close to losing such a great person.. okay im kidding.

anyway, these few days have shown me how fragile life really is and this isnt a bad thing. i love everyone around me more and im starting to see the good in everyone, other than that person who betrayed my friendship i shant say who but im currently bitching about that person online hahahaha okay nvm.

lief is so precious, let us enjoy it, let us treasure it. remember this.

i will not cry over his passing anymore... i have been feeling really sad and for every little thing that screws up on me ill feel like crying. its like the outpouring of emotions is really too great. but i guess this is the first step towards acceptance, to try and stop feeling sad for myself and for him.

yesterday night, during tuition, we were talking about euthanasia. oh man then all the emotions just came back again.. but of course nah i couldnt look like i was gonna cry or anything... im a man and i cant cry in public! okay im kidding... then it again showed me how precious life was and i guess these people dont really treasure "life" in itself. i duno, thats just my personal view after this...

albus dumbledore once said "to an organised mind, death is but the next great adventure." lets hope he was right, and let us hope that yewzee has gone somewhere better. let me stop getting sad over him, let me believe that he has gone somewhere better, let me accept it.

i guess this is really nice and its something that helps the accepting that he will not be around anymore. i hope anyone who reads this blog and is grieving over yew zhihao will feel this way too. he was a friend and now we must be friends to remember him, yet to accept this fact and get on with life.

We are very shaken and very sad at Zhi Hao's sudden departure. Most
of you would probably be feeling the same way too.

While we are all grieving at the loss of a wonderful friend and
batchmate and being overwhelmed by feelings such as the brevity of
life, unfairness, futility, sorrow, loss and pain, we would like to
propose that we recall the wonderful memories of our times with Zhi
Hao - in school, in class, in project groups, in CCAs, in org
comms , or when we were just hanging around with him in and outside
school.

Let us capture all these in a book of tributes in loving memory of
Yew Zhi Hao. It will be a book of memories, tributes, photos and
more, celebrating the life of Zhi Hao.

If you wish to contribute to this book, please follow the following
guidelines:
- Use an A4 size paper (any texture and colour)
- Draw, print, handwrite, cut, paste (let your creative juices flow)
- Use proper language, ensure that it is a fitting tribute and be
sensitive to the feelings of Zhi Hao's family
- Please contribute as many photos of Zhi Hao as possible

We will start collecting and compiling all contributions into a book

today we had our u18 competition, just on the day yew zhihao was cremated.

our competition started off relatively well, with our sec 3 first team being able to grind out a 1-1 stalemate with hwa chong (jc + sec 4s) in the first quarter, before the second team played in the first two minutes of the second quarter and unluckily, they scored 2 goals in quick succession. we then went back in again and held them for the rest of the time and eventually final score was 3-1. quite a respectable scoreline and a good fight from us.

second match however was against rj, eventual champions too. they were really fast, zooming here and there, creating free men and having great teamwork. they won 8-0 i think, and deservedly so too. we just couldnt focus against them la. its like before we even played we lost already... because we knew that we would be overpowered by them.

next match was against temasek poly. i didnt play this match... and we won like 7-0 or something... haha maybe that shows that everytime i play we lose! anyway yeah not bad la but that was against mediocre opposition, so not really counted.

then the last match. woah that was really heart-wrenching... against barker. the team that we were really unlucky against in the nationals, losing by a goal. and it was the same again this time. we outswam, outpassed, and outthought them throughout the entire game, but just couldnt find a breakthrough. the few times they shot i could handle... but we just couldnt find the breakthrough. we missed one on ones and straightforward shots. and in the final 5 seconds, when the rest of the team went to counter, they passed to the free man and scored. final score 1-0. then i was really devastated and cried like a little boy again.

i guess my tears were forced out after the emotions really welled up. it was compounded by yewzee's passing on, and my desire to want to do break that jinx against barker. i really wanted it.

after that i went to bedok interchange to eat, before i realised that oh no my wallet was gone! ahh haha i left it in the bus. luckily, i called mr anthony lim and he linked me to a few people that i could call before i finally got the bus driver's number. and he was really nice, he agreed to meet me at bedok and he returned me my wallet! haha thanks uncle! =]

after eating (which of course took a very short while since i was starving) i went home and my dad picked me up from the mrt station. ahh and the day ended like that. heh

oh yeah and yesterday i went tom's house to sleep! so fun! haha and we almost woke up late! hahahaha we decided to sleep at around 1145pm but we talked till around 1am i think... haha talking about random stuff that ri boys are so good at.

oh and something! i wore the SIN (singapore) cap today! with the flag behind. feels so good. i like to dream of myself wearing that and playing for singapore! okay nvm... haha

and dont worry about me la im okay already i just cried everything out then im fine. haha but i came home and realised something so now im confused again... why like that?

i remember the first time i knew him was at sec 1 ge camp, and we got off really well, talking about soccer and stuff like that. then we sort of drifted apart after that and slowly became like hi-bye friends... before this year we started talking a little more again and started becoming closer. then this happened.

why did this happen? im still in shock 2 days. today his photo came out in the obituaries. i never expected something like this would happen. i guess the obituary was sort of like a realisation that hey hes gone and i wont ever see him again, wont ever talk to him again.

he was a good friend to me. and i regret not committing myself more into this friendship. all the what-ifs are flying through my head... what if i had just talked to him more, what if i had hung out with him more, what if what if...

but i guess life is just like that. so short, so sudden, so unexpected. but we have to move on. we have to move on and focus on the petty little problems in our lives again. yet something i know i will do, which is to forever have him in my memory, to never let him die in this sense, as a lasting tribute to what he has done.

i guess this chinese saying rings true... and thursday is our u18 competition! really looking forward to it! heard that they are scouting for u18 during the competition so hey... here's my opportunity! cant miss out on it man! aiming for u18 youth team next year, though its quite difficult.

ANYWAYS, 8am @ tanah merah mrt! we going saf naval base to play polo... the naval bus coming to drive us from there! 8am @ tanah merah mrt, be there or be square! hahahaha

im going to st john's island on tuesday and spend the night there! my parents rented a chalet on the island for tuesday to thursday.. but i coming back on wednesday morning for training and lit parody rehearsals before going to stay overnight at tom's house! haha tom damn nice he agreed to take me poor homeless one in cos both my parents will still be at the chalet then at home no one... at night very scary! haha i also very timid i dont dare stay at home! hahahaha and thursday morning we'll rush to tanah merah mrt to join up with the rest of the polo team...

anyway, today was a really fun day. mainly because my stupid maid had her day off and like wow dont have to see her stupid face for 1 whole day! wow! so refreshing... hahaha and i gorged myself today... ate like 4 bowls of rice for dinner ahh now im bloated.

im sorry... im feeling emo again!

happy teachers' day!

haha today went brandon's house for a mini polo gathering... me, bra, jianying and woosheng were there. haha went brandon's house and like just cooped up in his room and started playing the xbox until like around 330pm...

after that brandon's mom drove us to the street soccer courts there near ccab and we went to play brandon's godbrother team. tom joined us at ccab and we, riwpfc (raffles institution waterpolo football club), played our third match of their season, in which it ended up in a crushing victory for us. 7-0 the scoreline as we ran out eventual winners (too bad i didnt score! nooooo) and i think this really displays our team spirit and the activities we subconsciously do to boost this team spirit... i think our team bonding really is there because like everytime we pass and dont even look at each other we know exactly where the person is gonna pass what he is gonna do... haha bodes well for our competition!

after that went home and showered then went for tuition... gave our tuition teacher presents and we all signed a card that wished her happy teachers' day! haha hope that made her day!

oh and im bayley vice capt for sports... not bad post la haha i can ask ngiam and yejie what to do and how to cope.

sorry la now im not in the mood to blog... just heard some alarming news! now i duno what to do... =(

yes! post 100! a major landmark in the lifetime of this blog...

i just read a few of my archive posts, and its like i find that i have changed alot since then. like for one, i dont swear anymore, and this is currently my 6th day! yay! haha and i guess my thinking has changed (for the better?) alot since then... maybe this is all part of growing up, part of growing more mature.

haha today i went back to nyps with alot of guys like zhi and skoh and tom, and went there to visit the teachers. haha surprisingly the teachers still remember us, okay fine, most of them still remember me cos of the trouble i caused. haha yanzhi said that teachers are happy to see me cos that reminds them that they not teaching me anymore. like not lor! they happy to see me cos i good student... (i delude myself sometimes)

after seeing all the teachers we decided to go play soccer with the chinese high guys... and i played quite okay la haha made a good run down the left then crossing for a sec 2 guy then he missed. hmm that made me realise something... haha no matter how hard we work on our process or our trainings, its still the finishing that matters. like this year polo team... we worked really hard together, bonded really well together, and looked the strongest team. yet during the competition, we just couldnt finish off the other teams, just lacked that mean streak to win us the games.

i guess thats what we'll have to learn. come u18 competition on thursday, we'll just have 3 trainings left till then. i guess itll be a great competition to gauge our student and polish up on the formations we learn during training. but it kinda shows whether we are able to finish off what we have worked so hard for during our trainings...

anyway yeah today the second issue of RInspire was given out to the students and i wrote 2 articles, one for polo and one for sailing. i didnt really care about the sailing article so yea it was damn short... not my problem anyway, thats not my first cca. but i guess the polo article really did reflect my feelings and how i felt about nationals this year, that the team were champions in our own right.

ohwells, but if we put so much into the process, but we lack the finishing touch... it all comes to naught. however strong we are, however bonded we are, we do not have that gold. im not saying team spirit is not the most important... but it is undeniable that as a sports cca our pedigree will be judged by the results we attain. so this year, we must show that not only do we have the process, we have the product. and let start with the u18 competition on thursday.

oh... and happy teachers' day! to any teachers i know? haha

just returned from ymca headquarters at orchard there opposite smu...

went for this volunteer briefing and signed up with them. i think i like being more involved in community involvement projects and like do more stuff for the needy la haha then after the briefing i just talked to this guy and he said that he could help me organise something for the polo guys to be involved in... probably because we're polo maybe can bring some kids or youths to play some polo and just basically have some fun la haha looking forward to that...

before that i had training and i couldnt leave early la. heard that there was 100 pushups to come so faster tell jiaolian i had to go early. but i guess he smart already he realise that always go do pushups that time i faster run off so this time he didnt let me off lol so i did like maybe 10 proper ones and like the rest i just slack slack slack then everyone finish so i finish with them. hah!

after that went toa payoh to meet a friend then we went to ymca. haha we went to the wrong ymca! haha ohwells anyway not my friend's fault la haha the stupid email never specify... anyway yeah la then went there and oops! we realised wrong ymca then we eventually reached the volunteer's briefing at the ymca headquarters at like 8pm, when it started at 730pm. how typical me hahahahaha

well i guess that just sums up the day for me la haha except that maybe my shoes and socks had a torrid day after being drenched in the rainwater. haha like damn sick la

anyway, i havent said vulgarities for 5 days! super long time already

haha just now i went for the physics mechanics of structures (wow so cool, again) "field trip" into the construction site at ri. as usual, i was late (despite staying 10 minutes walking distance from school only). haha supposed to reach there at 345pm but i reached at 4pm and just went into the site to join the group. then i just climbed to the top of the structure (its damn cool! as in really, this one not sarcastic) and took a few pictures and looked around then we came down. that was all! haha so slack

this "field trip" was supposed to last 3 hours. however, to overwhelming popularity, it was supposedly cut down to just 45 minutes. however, me being the brilliant me, just attended 10 minutes of the site visit to the construction site and thats all. haha!

haha okayokay now i gtg do homework! still got like 2 pts i think... the chem one im gonna finish already.. (bonding between polo sec 3s and 4s is very strong, and we HELP ONE ANOTHER ACADEMICALLY, socially, mentally, etc...) so yeah i guess ill finish it up rather quickly. and the only one... physics. doing with tedric... so that one also not much problem la hahahahaha

today was dmp again and i only had to go to school at 1030! haha anyway me being me, i reached school at 1045am, typical me la. haha

that dmp lesson was the last lesson of the module "tides turned in the pacific war" by lester lim, the number 1 teacher. haha we didnt prepare anything for our product and but within 1 and a half hour we finished everything and we got 24/30 for it. so i suppose thats a distinction for us in the module la haha =] good! haha

after that block of dmp was assembly, which was as usual an ultra bore, but it was some briefing about some re opportunity next year that is to do with community involvement also... looks kinda interesting want to sign up for it, but yet like have to commit friday afternoons which surely cannot, cos i have polo then and i know i know, yes dont have to say it, that i need to train for ri polo to do well. so yeah duno la probably that possibility is ruled out la... haha

school was dismissed after assembly and i stayed back at the circular area to fabricate some results for this survey a friend gave me to ask some people to do then i left school and went to give the surveys back la. haha didnt go training cos like daaaaaaamn sian trainings on tuesdays always has to do with close range shooting and thats damn boring for keepers like me.

haha then after that went home and just slacked in front of the computer.

today was re oral presentation, so thats it for the year of re man!

haha and boy the feeling was great to just conclude the presentations and that the questions they tried to tekan us with were like really crap and easy to answer hahaha even though we crapped up alot of shit in our powerpoint presentation lol

and today i had first period DMP which started at 750am and i was supposed to report to school for morning assembly at 725am. BUT me being me... i decided to pon morning assembly and woke up at 740am and eventually reached school at 810am, 20 minutes late for class. so definitely kena scolded by andrew lim la, but its okay la i just act guai and nod head and look serious then he let me off already HAHA and i wasnt the latest! jiahao strolled in at 820am LOL

then went for lorenzo's oil for second period dmp and finished the movie plus did some research on the characters on the movie.. and we were allowed 1 hour to do this research on tablet pcs so naturally will digress to go read stuff like soccernet and play inkball and other stuff la ahaha

and newcastle won over the weekend! 2-1 success over wigan at St James' Park. New captain Scott Parker opened the scoring before wigan equalised, but Shola Ameobi restored the lead soon after. lets hope newcastle can survive without the great Shearer!

and tottenham lost. the team that our exchange student from australia supports. they lost. hah and i consider myself to be an above-average suanner so he better watch out since although he left for australia i have him on msn HAHAHAHA

still kinda miss this bugger since he went home to australia... yeah he was the only guy who slammed me to the floor of class like in some time hahahaha that sneaky idiot!

well yeah today was training and it was rubbish la to say the least

jiaolian wasnt here so we just fooled around eh but the keepers did our stuff and played quite seriously lor until kaiyu started screwing around as a ref.

then he started screwing around as a keeper. haha somehow no one can train properly without jiaolian around watching over us with that hulking frame

haha anyway yeah he'll be back on the 17th and our u-18 competition starts on september 7! heard that acs barker, hwa chong and outram are going too. should be a good gauge of our preparations then... though i doubt we wont be ready for it. anyway, yeah good exposure. though i dont know why they wanted us to play the u-18 competition, cos we have to play against JCs too... abit crazy right!

aha and yeah that rocks la so yeah hope we do okay. a top 3 position would be fantastic! last year's batch got 3rd, though they must have got some lucky break la since we know that we are much better than them... haha

gotta make my presence count man! make an impact at u-18s! yeah!

hey yesterday i was at bayley cip! and boy was it fun man!

haha we got to interact with little kids from disadvantaged families from melrose home, and they were like really fun to talk to. at first they were like really uncooperative (especially my group! duno why leh..) and they even started insulting mr kelvin yap like while mr kyap talking they would go "shutup la" or "tiam la" or even call him stupid... haha but he was like quite cool and managed to take all their insults in his stride while talking to them.

haha in the end my group finished the last placed among all the other groups... garnering around half the number of points as the first placed group, even after i bargain with all the station masters to give us more points... haha but i mean the competition here isnt what matters, its the fun they had right! haha

my group had 4 girls and 1 guy and i was the group leader. but the girls were like one clique and like were super rowdy didnt want to go with us and they caused havoc at one station after grabbing the water guns and running around spraying all of us... HAHA we got owned by little girls!

but then i was really patient with those girls and eventually they opened up to us la haha then after that they even held my hands and led me to the field for the afternoon's activities... haha duno why dramatic change in attitude eh? haha

then after that the girls also started using ms karen chuah's camera and took pictures of me for duno what reason heh must be i too pro already =D hahahaha random okay nvm

then after cip me, jerome and tiankai came my house and we showered, changed our clothes and went to will's house to meet the two aussie guys. haha then we played soccer with them at will's downstairs there then we went up for dinner.

after showering there, we went to the night safari with the two aussie guys. and they went crazy over there! hahahaha andrew started making this really cool imitation of steve irwin, like when he went "crikey!" and "its beautiful!" hahaha really too alike already haha

so yeah then i went home really tired

haha then after that in last period the bio teacher sprang a bio quiz on us, which we got all damn pissed off with him cos other classes got to prepare for it but he just gave us a surprise test. anyway yeah the foreign exchange student from australia said this about him "That bio teacher? The one from new zealand? yea... he's really stupid! and he has that funny thing on his back..." hahahaha oh and btw he does have a back problem so hes kind of hunchbacked haha

then after that in the afternoon was when the cagey day really started

we went to THE CAGE at kallang area there and went to play soccer

with zhengxuan's acquaintances from nygh including his more than friends acquaintance. heh they kept getting intimate while playing soccer. (sometimes i tend to over exaggerate some stuff but do bear with me) and we had a lot of fun. I GOT OLED BY GIRLS. shit im a failure man! hehe

its been one week since sailing interschools... and boy has it been forever

last week got alot of shit man, got bio quiz, math quiz, which can say both DIE
cos i didnt study and i dont listen in class cos i keep laughing at peng =)

haha and i just cant get out of my post sailing/holiday mood! the slack mood
cant think of work i dont even want to think of work i just want to slack around, play games, go swim, play soccer, and chat on msn.

and my polo starting to screwup already i cant regain the form i got during interschool period... shit im becoming even lousier than the sec 1 keeper! haha brian is owning me during training (:

well at least i did have a great time at sailing interschools... screwing around with the damn competitive sailors, anyhow banging other people's boats, making friends, not doing penalties, talking cock, playing soccer, ponning school... ahh well yeah lets not say pon school. lets say sacrificing classtime for the good of the school. yeah thats it. haha

lol during interschools i was some shitass of a bastard. i go and anyhow bang other people's boats and dont do penalty cos i know that they wont protest me waste their time only... haha im like 12th from the back LOL

i have been like super busy recently, with our upcoming friendly against

on tuesday, and of course, i have been taking part in alot of sailing trainings, my second cca which i dont really give a shit about...

hahaha havent blogged for like ages...
well, let me think what happened to me in the past week or so


first, there was interhouse waterpolo last last friday.
yup, we got third, narrowly missing out on the 1st 2nd playoff
but it was a very satisfactory position la, considering that we did not have many swimmers and our non polo players all didnt know how to shoot or tread water, even though i gave them a crash course the day before the interhouse alrady.
we played really hard, and in the end were level on points and goal difference with morrison after palying all our matches... in the end we had to playoff against them for the chance at 1st 2nd playoff, and they won the match 1-0, even after a heroic performance from our team so yea... it was a great experience, a great show of fighting spirit and tough grit. and best of all, i was captain of the team! :D hahahahaha


then there was learning journey on wednesday
where we went to these historical sites which commemorated the sacrifices made by other people for our country, how they lost their lives fighting off stupid japs who ought to eat my shit and whatever not...
and it was really great anyway i really enjoyed it
and i really understood how they died for all free men (while we in waterpolo we pass to the free man for him to score)
so it was really enjoyable la even though i dont take history haha history is for losers! lit pwns history! hahahaha



anyway not much else happened to me

and the feeling of 4th is starting to sink in. i feel damn unclean cos we got 4th and 4th is a damn shit position...
next year we must buck up and show others how good raffles really is.

and now, the period when all the assignments and tests are all here to kill me, i find that i cant get the thought of getting 4th for nationals outof my mind...

long time no blog, and many things have happened since then...

yesterday we played barker in a friendly, and before that i went kk hospital for orthodontist checkup cos im flat-flooted, then i very cleverly walked from kk all the way to newton mrt to meet the rest of the team and jiaolian then we took a bus to barker. so that effectively tired me out alot haha... then during the barker match we were leading 10-4 at one point, (due to my superb goalkeeping?) but that time i was damn tired already then i started screwing up alot and letting in alot of fast shots...

we were interrupted by lightning and i think it sort of interrupted our flow of play, cos before lightning we totally dominated them but after that they came back a little, and after a while i got damn tired and the walking from kk to newton sort of came back to haunt me... lol i think we played mroe than an hour in total, excluding the lightning break, when a usual match is only like half an hour, so it was really tiring... but we still won 12-10, and that really made me think about all the IFs, IF we just didnt miss those one on ones against barker we'd be in the finals not them... sigh

after barker match i met leoson in city hall mrt and we walked to victoria concert hall for cadenza and it was really nice although i talked alot of rubbish with leoson like how the japanese conductor looked like he was dancing and other stuff that is too sensitive to be posted on this blog XD


well... and today was a boring day, even though there was tuition which is usually damn fun but sian la everyone very tired...

lol ok i blogged, now time to win chinese high in 3rd/4th playoff... go hanson! hanson must quickly recover if not i have to play against chinese high! walao
